January 31, 2012 Update

NHSA Easter Seals Ride-In this weekend February 3rd-5th. 

Use caution in other areas of the state as there is water and ice. Stay off Lakes and Ponds.

Pittsburg- 6" new snow on a 6-8" base in higher elevations and 2-3" in lower. Grooming is ongoing, and conditions range from moderate to great. South of town and there could still be some problem areas and some areas are still closed and are posted as such. Please pay attention to all signage!  There are still logging operations going on. Perry Stream Rd is closed to snowmobile traffic and stay on the side of Magalloway Rd.; some shared roads and are posted 10 mph. Lakes are still considered to be unsafe! For more details go towww.pittsburgridgerunners.orgVintage Race this Saturday Feb 4th at 10am on Trail 142.

Colebrook- 1" new snow Icy thin base in the lower elevations Higher elevations have poor to fair riding conditions, watch for ice on bridges, deep water bars, rocks, etc Trail 3a remains closed Gates to town on 18 are open at this time, could close as current weather conditions continue Please ride with caution. Vintage Race this Saturday February 4th has been moved to Pittsburg.

Stratford- 2" new snow on a 2-5" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate. Stratford Bog area riding is fair. Potato Hill trail is closed due to logging. Use caution logging at jct of Corr 3 and 7. Watch for water bars.

Groveton/Nash Stream- 1-2" new snow on a 1-3" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to good. 5 South Temporarily Closed. Caution some icy conditions.

Diamond Pond/Coleman State Park- 4-5" new snow on a 4-6" base. Trails are groomed and riding is good. Several logging operations going on. Lake ice is marginal. Repairs at Coleman Bath house are ongoing however it is open for use. Warming hut open Saturday and Sunday. Gas pumps open 24/7. For more details go to www.swiftdiamondriders.com

Errol-  2-3" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to good. Use Caution watch for ice.

Cambridge- 3-4" new snow on a 2-3" base trails are groomed and riding is moderate.

Milan- 3-4" new snow on a 2-3" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate.

Berlin- 2" new snow on a 3-5" base.  Trails are groomed and riding is good. For more details, go to www.whitemtridgerunners.com

Berlin/Success- 1-3" new snow on a 1-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to good.

Gorham- 1-2" new snow on a 2-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to good.  Icy spots. NHSA Easter Seals Ride-In this weekend February 3rd-5th.

Franconia Notch- 2-4" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to good. Corr 11 North of Notch is not groomed and riding is marginal.

Campton/Thornton- 2-3" base. Trails are groomed and riding is moderate to good. Corr 11 Rail line not groomed use caution.

Bear Notch- 6-10" base. Trails are groomed. Riding is good to great. RR Tracks have been groomed and loop is open. Use caution and watch for mushers and skiers.

Conway/ Chatham- 2-4" Base Trails are not groomed and riding is marginal. Thin cover icy base, some water bars may be open. Logging behind Town and Country in E. Conway.

Ossipee- 2-4" base. Trails are not groomed and riding is marginal. RR Tracks are not covered.

Wakefield- Trails are not groomed and riding is marginal. Use caution RR Tracks not covered.

Pisgah State Park-  Riding Not available

Pillsbury State Park- Riding Not available

Sullivan- Riding Not available

Rail Lines:

  • Northern: Thin to no base. Caution ice and water.
  • Ashuelot: No riding at this time
  • Fort Hill:  No riding at this time
  • Sugar River: No riding at this time
  • Concord to Lincoln:  No riding at this time
