BURLINGTON – A man once called a “remorseful robber” is now wanted for killing a mother in Burlington.

Authorities have sent out a “be on the look out” (BOLO) order for 39-year-old Christopher Piantedosi of Methuen.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Piantedosi after finding 38-year-old Kristen Pulisciano stabbed to death in her home on Forbes Avenue Thursday evening.

He is expected to be driving a brown, four-door Honda Civic with Massachusetts license plate 581MC8. The public is urged not to approach the suspect if they see him, who may be armed and dangerous, but rather are urged to contact your local police station with any information,” Middlesex District Attorney spokeswoman Jessica Venezia Pastore said in a statement Friday morning.

Pulisciano lived in the home with Piantedosi and her two children – a 20-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter.

Neighbors told WBZ-TV the daughter was home when her mother was attacked, but ran up the street for help.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030 has learned Piantedosi’s cell phone and clothes were found in a dumpster in Leominster and it’s believed he may be heading to Methuen.

Piantedosi was in the news last year when he was caught on video in a New Hampshire grocery store stealing a woman’s purse from her shopping cart.

A little more than a week later he showed up at the victim’s house and returned her cash and a GPS, along with a letter of apology.

He signed that letter “stupid” and said “I have some problems that I need to fix before I lose everything.”

Piantedosi was dubbed the “Remorseful Robber” by a local newspaper.
