Water rescue complete on Canobie Lake (VIDEO)

Water rescue complete on Canobie Lake

WINDHAM — Fire and rescue personnel and the victim are off the ice after a water rescue on Canobie Lake in Windham, along W. Shore Road.

A dog was reportedly stranded out on the ice and the pet owner was heading out to it in a canoe.

The call then became a "water rescue," with calls for marine support.

The dog and the victim made their way to an island and rescue crews were able to retireve them from that spot.

Just past 11:15 this morning, scanner reports said the victim and his rescuers were off the ice. The victim was being taken to Parkland Medical Center in Derry for evaluation.

HAVERHILL - A 9-year-old Atkinson girl was bitten by a coyote as she played with a friend in the friend's yard in Haverhill.
Alex Cazmay told her mother after the attack Monday morning that she thought the animal that was biting her from behind was a dog and turned around and reached out to the animal so it could sniff her.
It wasn't a dog, her mother Brianne Cazmay told The Eagle-Tribune, but a coyote that also bit her daughter on the hands and arms before walking off.
